Dinner lady retires
- after 18 years!
Children and staff at Rushcombe First School threw a surprise farewell assembly for retiring dinner lady Maryanne Dale, who has worked at the Corfe Mullen School for 18 years.
The children, who sang two songs to Mrs Dale, said she was always smiling, helpful and kind in helping them with their lunches.
She said: “I hadn't expected a leaving assembly but it was such a nice surprise. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school and will miss all the children very much.”
Head teacher Leonie Fawcett said: “Maryanne was a wonderful and dedicated lunchtime supervisor and she will be sorely missed by both staff and children. We hope that she will come back and visit us soon!”
